Business Responsibily for ScottishPower fleet of Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plants.Reporting to the Generation Director and responsible for all activities associated with the ScottishPower fleet of Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plants.The role is to ensure that the plants are dispatched to meet the requirements of the Global Energy Management team, all policies and procedures are developed and that all routine, breakdown and major overhaul activities are carried out safely, in a timely manner, to the correct quality and on budget.Additional elements of the role include the development of the business strategy and plan to deliver the commercial objectives for the portfolio against tight budget constraints. Direct responsibility for multi £m capital and operating budgets across the portfolio.Responsible for the health, safety, welfare and development of c. 110 staff.

Responsible to the Station Manager for: • The Integration of Rye House from PowerGen to Scottish Power.• Leading and developing a multi-disciplined engineering team.• Investigating, diagnosing and solving plant problems.• Managing all maintenance activities including the negotiation of an Operational Support and Maintenance Service Agreement (OSMSA) with Siemens.• Development and management of engineering budgets. • Long term integrity of the engineering assets.• Development/management of a maintenance strategy to decrease lifetime costs and increase availability of three Siemens V94.2 gas Turbines.• Active member of the Siemens V94.2 User Group (Chairman 2004/5)
