Focus: Technical Consultant, Reporting and Application SupportSpecialties: I am an IFS/Crystal Reports Developer who analyses complex data to provide innovative, high quality reporting solutions for executive and senior management decision making. I develop all types of reports which cover ad-hoc, operational and analytical reporting, including Quick Reports, Crystal Reports , IFS Output documents, IFS Business Analytics, IFS Business Reporter and IFS Lobbies (elements and data sources). Gary is also adept at the creation of dynamic data connections, data foundations, business elements, views and universes in SAP BO Enterprise. Report design and scheduling of report instances.Previous roles have ranged from the Principal Reporting Analyst and Developer on a large multi-site, multi-national implementation of IFS Applications for a life sciences/analytical standards organisation to being the technical lead for a high-profile UK oil industry rollout. I have also been working with the Aludium reporting team to improve the quality of reporting from within their IFS App9 system. Management reporting was being generated by running some queries then correlating the data outside of the IFS system within Excel spreadsheets, which was a very time-consuming process. Each areas of the business produced detailed specifications of what was required. The Data sources and reports were developed in conjunction with the functional experts from within each of the business areas. Data views using IAL’s (Information Access Layers) were build. Some that run live, reading real-time data and some that are scheduled to collect data overnight. I have been involved with developing and assisting in the design of Lobby’s, Business Analytics Reports, SQL Quick Reports, creating advance saved searches to identify data issues, creating custom items and Crystal Reports for both IFS Quick Reports and forms/output documents.This has allowed the users the ability to run the reports directly from IFS, which means they no longer needed to correlate the data off line. -
