Performed multiple facets of customer support (installations, upgrades, 4GL COBOL development, IPA (Infor Process Automation) development and customizations, BSI Tax Factory upgrades and cyclicals) as the first full-time managed services employee at RPI. • Scheduled and performed monthly maintenance for multiple clients on Lawson servers (LSF, Landmark, Lawson Business Intelligence, Ming.le, Smart Office, Mobile Supply Chain Management) on both Windows and UNIX systems. This would include normal cleanup steps, as well as non-emergency patches to applications and/or environment. • Developed and implemented many Lawson Security projects, including conversions to read-only as a transition step for customers migrating from Lawson to another system who still need inquiry-only access.• Designed, wrote, tested, and implemented a custom 4GL (COBOL) program to identify errors in FLSA calculation for past paychecks. Also wrote related programs to apply corrections if necessary. This program was used at multiple RPI clients to assist with FLSA problems.

• Worked extensively with Purchasing, MRP, and Warranty Claims systems for largest school bus manufacturer in the US at that time.• Designed Warranty Claims system and served as analyst for the project.• Rewrote MRP netting to incorporate all plants' inventory and requirements in a company-wide program and wrote an online query program against the MRP database that became the main tool used by inventory planners at all plants. Realized inventory savings of $1.5 million (10%).• Rewrote Service Parts (independent-demand) MRP system to anticipate seasonal or cyclical demand. Allowed reduction in planning workforce from 4 people to 2, and lowered inventory levels without sacrificing customer service level.• Designed major components of new warranty system: converted data from old system to new system; designed all-new reporting system which can be rerun for any historical time period and which reduced run times from 3+ hours to 5 minutes.• Served as training coordinator, teaching coworkers about ADS/O language and reading COBOL memory dumps.• Worked on multiple other systems as well, including mapping data from legacy system to purchased Cullinet ERP software.
