Provided water resources engineering design and construction document development for green infrastructure and bio-engineering projects. These projects included large and small-scale urban and forest preserve stream stabilization and riparian corridor restoration, urban storm water harvesting and reuse, and protection of pristine wetland hydrology.

Oversight of engineering operations which entailed integration of all aspects of civil engineering into sustainable design for ecological projects. Many projects involved stream bank stabilization and riparian corridor restoration, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, wildlife habitat restoration, sustainable comprehensive storm water management, constructed treatment wetlands for storm water runoff and landfill leachate, and water quality analyses. For over 30 years, AES performed cutting edge research throughout the United States and a few select international locations. From that its Contracting and Nursery Divisions were birthed as well as its satellite offices. AES' nurseries grew over 300 acres of native plants annually and provided seed collection for remote projects. They also had an integrated Consulting Division that provided Ecology, Landscape Architecture, and Geospatial Analysis in addition to Civil Engineering.
