I am an advisor to the Area Manager, providing reliable data and solid suggestions to help the team make the proper decisions in regards to operating plan, OEE improvements, Lean system improvements, manning requirements, scrap reduction initiatives, and overtime schedules. I ensured that the axle assembly line had the required component inventories in place. I scheduled and oversaw daily changeovers, overtime schedules, scrap meetings, OEE meetings, 5S walks, LEAN workshops, Work Instruction changes as well as ensuring that Material Handling and supermarket management were in place. I led the daily startup meetings and end of shift meetings with the salaried management. I interacted on a daily basis with UAW employees and UAW Union Committee personnel. I managed the disciplinary requirements for my shift and represented my supervisors during paragraph 76 interviews as needed. I scheduled and led monthly UAW sensing sessions.
