Productivity Manager / Lean Leader
CurrentI am an advisor to the Area Manager, providing reliable data and solid suggestions to help the team make the proper decisions in regards to operating plan, OEE improvements, Lean system improvements, manning requirements, scrap reduction initiatives, and overtime schedules. I manage improvement activities and coordinate actions between production, quality, engineering, and maintenance. I track and manage Productivity Improvement Planning and the formal Kaizen Suggestion Program, as well as the plant's A3 problem solving program. I am systems oriented, able to modify and implement new systems as necessary and to sustain improvements. I fully understand the concepts of Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping and use this knowledge in daily decision making process. I use data measured from the shop floor to plan a future state map and generate an action item list that will deliver results, eliminating waste in the system. I have a great deal of experience in 5S/Workplace Organization, Quick Changeover, Cellular/Flow Manufacturing, Pull Systems, Total Preventive Maintenance, Kaizen Event Facilitation, Facilities Layout, and Equipment Selection. June 2010 - June 2011 - American Axle & Manufacturing, 2nd Shift Site Leader (Production and Maintenance)- Oversee, supervise, and monitor all predictive, preventative and routine maintenance activities in support of production - Oversee, supervise, and monitor all day to day facilities maintenance activities - Accurate reporting of all maintenance activities in Maximo for analysis - Oversee all Production activities in plants 3 and 6.
