Gary J Penner, DDS was raised in Baldwin, NY, graduating from Baldwin High School. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at the State University of New York at Binghamton.Dr Penner then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He continued his postgraduate dental education at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he recieved his Specialty Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Periodontics. Dr Penner held the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in Periodontics at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he trained dental students in periodontics.Dr Penner is active in The American Academy of Periodontology,The Academy of Osseointegration, and The New Jersey Society of Periodontists.He is a founding director, and has been a co-director for The Forum for Advanced Dental Studies for over 10 years.This study forum has provided state of the art continuing dental education for dentists and their staff in the Central New Jersey area. Seminar topics cover all fields and specialties in dentistry. Dr Penner has lectured on periodontics, cosmetic surgery, soft tissue grafting and regenerative treatments. He has also lectured on a multidiscinaplary team approach on the treatment of complex dental cases involving general dentists and specialists in all disciplines of dentistry.
