As pastor of a large suburban Roman Catholic parish in Tarrant county, Gary Picou was responsible for overseeing the pastoral care of the parish and school. He managed a staff of 30 employees. Seeking input and advise from staff and advisory councils, he created and followed a $3.5 million parish budget and oversaw a $3.5 million school budget. Additionally, to better understand the needs of the parish, with the advisory councils, staff and some target parishioner groups, Gary Picou entered into a multi-year strategic planning process for the parish and school. By determining the core values, vision and mission statements, and a SWOT analysis, he set goals for the parish staff and key volunteer groups. As a result, weekly collects increased by 12% and weekly attendance averaged around 9,200 people. Gary Picou also met the spiritual needs of the parish through preaching, teaching, pastoral guidance, and various Catholic Liturgies.

As pastor of a rural parish and school, Gary Picou worked with key parishioners, advisory councils and staff to develop a strategic plan for the school as it completed its accreditation process. This process included developing core values, a mission statement, and SWOT analysis. From this analysis, in collaboration with a team, he set recruitment and budgeting goals. In the second year, we increased enrollment by 7% and created and maintained a realistic budget of $1.2 million. Gary Picou was also responsible for the care of the parish, which included administering the parish staff of 5 employees, a budget of $600,000, preaching, and various teaching roles.

As a Sales Engineer, Gary Picou was responsible for maintaining current customer relationships and develop new customers in multiple states. He enjoyed assisting his customers in their growth and increase productivity through their relationship with Festo USA. This required an understanding of the sales cycle along with product information. Gary Picou met his sales goal for his year as a sales engineer.

As an applications engineer, Gary Picou assisted the sales force for the Dallas Region via onsite product presentations and demonstrations. These presentations included using SolidWorks for conceptual solutions and a vehicle for communicating with Festo Engineering. He was also responsible for troubleshooting and providing technical solutions. Gary Picou also functioned as a project manager on critical sales to insure success with critical sales.

Standard Router was a small OEM that designed and manufactured CNC routers for the woodworking and plastic industry. Gary Picou was responsible for overseeing the design modifications to meet specific customer needs. He also was responsible for production and ordering. Gary Picou increased production capability from 2 machines/month to 4 machines/month through working closely with vendors to streamline the process. Gary Picou also designed a modular series via 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis.
