I have 14 years experience as a Civil and Maritime Engineer working solely for Royal HaskoingDHV (RHDHV), currently based in the UAE for RHDHV's Maritime & Aviation business line. My current role is Senior Project Manager in combination with acting as the Building Information Modelling (BIM) champion for the region. I am also a HSE qualified commercial diver and part of RHDHV's team of Diving Engineers. I have had numerous appointments overseas both office and site based roles.Throughout my career I have worked on the planning and design of marine structures and waterways in various parts of the world. I have played an important role in the project management teams of major international projects for Port Developments, Container Terminals and Oil & Gas Facilities. Furthermore, I have strong experience with the preparation of tender/contract documents, managing the tender process and the subsequent technical and financial evaluation.I have site experience as a Diving Engineer for the supervision and inspection during the construction of an international breakwater scheme, and numerous underwater surveys and inspections; Residential Engineer for a passenger walkway installation, rail terminal extension and strengthening of a sheet pile quay wall; Deputy Resident Engineer for modifications to a passenger ferry berth; and Works Supervisor for a new lifeboat station.
