  I get hungry I eat. I get tired I sleep. I've added another artistic interest here. Doors and furniture made from recycled wood and abandoned building products. I sell my art mainly to recover cost and to contribute a small amount to my time.I also paint pictures and have done so for almost 60 years.I’m not professionally trained but both my parents were pretty good at art in general.I'm a knife painter and rarely put a brush on my canvas, just something about the look and feel of knife painting.I use oils because I love the smell and, I’ve never tried acrylics. Something about oil that seems to connect me to the earth. I finish my furniture with shellac for the same reasons.Like most artists, not every picture I paint or door I make is great in my eyes, but there is always someone who comes along and likes what they see so those pieces get to live as well.
