I have an extensive knowledge of nursing and public health that has been gained from my accumulative professional experience working in the UK, Australia and the USA since 1986. My professional career exhibits my competency, efficiency and capability in an extensive range of roles including: HIV/Sexual Health, research, medical-surgical; psychiatric; intensive care; emergency; community; acute pain management, vascular access and parenteral nutrition.Throughout my career, I’ve been motivated to pursue opportunities that enhance my skills and knowledge by actively engaging in further clinical and tertiary education. Accompanying my own learning pursuits I have also coordinated, facilitated and conducted practical and theoretical instruction. My qualifications and background enable me to consistently function in a variety of roles in the workplace; ranging from managerial positions and as a supportive and inclusive member of multidisciplinary teams. My skills and ability have made me adept at working in both close knit environments and autonomously with minimal supervision. The commitment and enthusiasm I bring to the roles and positions I have undertaken over the years have given me the confidence and professionalism needed in my chosen field. I am a member of the Australasian Sexual Health and HIV Nurses Association (ASHHNA) and affiliate member of the Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM).
