Applications include (but not limited to) medical ultrasound, commercial and military RF communications, automotive and industrial battery charging, LED lighting, production soldering equipment, and telecom switchgear.

Martek Power, Inc. Torrance is a comercial power supply company involved in the design and manufacture of AC-DC and DC-DC switchmode power supplies for a variety of markets. As Division President (April 2000 thru March 2005), was responsible for leading up to 2000 employees in all aspects of engineering, manufacturing, quality, materials, IT, and customer service functions. Developed partnerships with several offshore (Asian) manufacturers for low cost programs.As Design Engineer thru VP of Engineering (March 1988 thru March 2000), was directly responsible for leading the engineering department in numerous design projects with a wide variety of topologies. Worked extensively in all aspects of design from concept generation to implementation in production. Magnetic design, PCB layout, mechanical packaging, thermal analysis, heatsink design, control loop stability and compensation, safety agency approvals, noise control and containment, logic control, and digital interfaces.

Assisted Senior Engineer in design and testing of a custom DC-DC buck regulator to drive DC brush type motor in critical space application (antenna deployment). Performed loop compensation, worst case and root sum square analysis, component stress analysis, power analysis, and filter design.
