Provides security analysis, development, education, consulting, and guidance related to Indiana University's information assets and information technology environment. Establishes and maintains a resilient and secure infrastructure in which to conduct university business. Together with the University Information Policy Office (UIPO), respond to and investigate technology related security incidents. Assist staff and management of departments across the university in examinging their environments for system and information security exposures.

Participates in the security reviewing, assessing, consulting, and information product development activities of the University Information Security Office (UISO). Serves as senior liaison and investigator to the staff and management of the Vice President for Information Technology (VPIT), University Information Technology Services (UITS), university departments, regional campuses, and external collaborators and service providers in examining their technology environments for system and information security exposures, making judgments as to level of risk, and subsequently with the identification and implementation of appropriate protections.

The director of Web Technical Services directs the development of the web infrastructure for Indiana University South Bend. Works collaboratively with university stakeholders to maintain a dynamic web presence for the campus. The director leads teams of cross-functional stakeholders, to represent IU South Bend’s academic, administrative and community information integrating multi-media, text, forms, and content management. Advises university administration regarding appropriate technologies to support university communication goals. Directs activities of web development staff and lead the effort to lead and advance an effective web system in accordance with Indiana University’s strategic technology plan, Empowering People (http://ep.iu.edu ). Engages in construction and planning for fiscal needs of web technical services. Maintains relationships with colleagues at all IU campuses.
