Marie Selby Botanical Gardens uses the BlackBaud Altru ticketing and donor CRM database. I fulfill the same duties as I did for the Ringling Museum as well as training Volunteers to do basic data entry work in support of the volunteer and membership departments. I am also called upon to do prospect research to aid Development officers in approaching potential donors, and provide details for grant reporting.

As database administrator at the Ringling Museum I acted as a liaison between Museum staff and FSU staff on the subjects of access, data management and protocol. I performed regular checking of data entry, and regular screening for data quality and proper formatting in constituent and transaction records. I provided reporting for various departments within the museum including Membership and the Director's Office. Provide local training for new and old staff members. Oversee gift entry processes and work with the Accounting department for monthly and yearly reconciliation of the GL. I also provide mailing lists for marketing, invitations and membership renewals and print cards for the museum membership programs. The Ringling also used Patron Edge for ticketing, which I helped keep clear of duplicate records shared from our primary data in RE.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area

At Art Mart I both sold existing framed artwork and prints as well as designed custom framing jobs for customers. Art Mart (which I believe is no longer in business) had a centralized workshop for framing and many satellite stores for sales, I worked at several different locations around the Tampa and Brandon area as needed. Each shop location was a One Employee operation so I both opened and closed the shop on work days and managed the register/deposits for the store.

As a bookseller at Waldenbooks I worked part-time while I was attending classes. This was a typical sales job that included handling money and store cleanliness and stock.

At TNC I worked both as a general warehouse assistant and as an inventory/purchasing agent for the CCG (collectible card game) section of the store. I helped with receiving shipments, managing inventory, shipping orders and other related duties in the warehouse. In the CCG dept. I managed inventory and sorting, as well as purchasing from individual sellers.

My high school job. As assistant manager I operated the store by myself many weekends and helped close the store several nights a week. Job duties included cleaning the store, handling customer transactions, making keys, packaging items for shipping, designing and building freight packaging and crates, picking up furniture and other items from personal homes and transporting them to the store for packing, sorting mail, etc.

After finishing my AA degree I went on to start my BA at USF in Tampa. After my first year there financial difficulty gently encouraged me.
