After 3 years in the charity sector, I returned to research in the private sector.I developed original research ideas across multiple disciplines; covering the whole research project lifecycle from origination, proposal writing, consortium formation and co-ordination, project management, EC liason, technical input, exploitation and dissemination.Multiple projects were ongoing at any one time, with typically 5-6M euro budgets.

I was responsible for European research strategy and participation at both the Stroke Association, UK, and for the Stroke Alliance For Europe (SAFE) network across 30+ European countries.SAFE and the Stroke Association have participated in many large EC funded research projects covering the whole of the stroke pathway, typically centred on large clinical trials.

My work was financed by the EC research funding programmes.I developed original research ideas across multiple disciplines and covered the whole research project lifecycle from origination, proposal writing, consortium formation and co-ordination, project management, EC liason, technical input, exploitation and dissemination.Several projects were ongoing at any one time, with typically 3-4M euro budgets involving large consortia across multiple countriesI won, co-ordinated and delivered successful projects in Transport, Health and Security.
