Rigger / Deck CrewWorking as part of the deck crew in a busy Environment under the deck foreman and LOLER instructions.Loading and offloading of supply boats, bunkering pot water and diesel via bulk hose.Performing lifting and mechanical handling work scopes throughout the FPSO. Generating lift plans and execute rigging work scopes to a high standard in line with LOLER. Creating full lift plans for simple, complicated and complex categorized lifts along with fully comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification. Involved in all crane lifting operations utilizing banksman, slinger and load handler skills. Assisting in the mooring and unmooring of oil tankers, helicopter operations in the role of HLO, Fire Team Leader, Coxswain (Free fall) operations and maintenance and cargo distribution throughout the FPSO. Performing Authority; taking charge of work scopes using Enablon systems.Contributing to training and competence assessments for employees to meet OPITO standards in rigging and lifting.Participating in the stop card safety system to keep the workplace safe.Banking cranes via hand held radio and hand signals, slinging loads, preparing containers for back load.Distributing materials to all departments, keeping decks clean and safe. Preparing lifting plans and carrying out complex rigging operations.Coordinating Heli-Deck operations under the procedures of oil & gas UK /Civil Air Publication 437 / Helicopter Landing Officers Handbook / workplace & company procedures.Ensuring all Helideck fire fighting and accident Equipment is checked on a weekly basis and prior to any helicopter operations to ensure the Equipment is in good working order in the event of fighting fires and saving lives. Carrying out pre-flight toolbox talks to discuss the task with the Helideck team prior to any helicopter operations.
