    Worked with homeless families, that qualified for the CALWORK TANF program, and helped them attain housing. I found housing and taught independent living skills (ILS) to vulnerable adults who were diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. Responsibilities included teaching a weekly housing orientation to 25-35 guests. I worked as a liaison and client advocate between client and landlord, gave loans out to clients in need of deposit or utility assistance, tracked client’s loans in a database, and sent out monthly billing statements to the clients, Housing First case management of 40-50 clients for a six-month duration. Assigned a caseload of adult offenders directly by a CA Parole Officer, to oversee clients that were dual diagnosed with substance/alcohol addictions and mental health disorders at our drop-in day center. I taught weekly classes that ranged from ILS, decision making, 12 Step Chemical Dependency Program, relationship and family, computer literacy, friendship, crisis management, and creation of a Wellness Recovery Action Plan at a rehabilitation program that catered to vulnerable adults living with persistent mental illness and adult offenders out on probation. Helped clients in crisis intervention, directed them towards better decision-making, and helped them develop better-coping skills for their mental illness. I charted weekly clients’ progress.
