Operationally and commercially responsible for the management of a specialist Joinery sub-contractor company that employs up to 50 staff and operatives. Turnover taken from £1 Million to £2.5 Million in 2 years. Projects ranged in value from £10k to £850K.Major Clients included Miller Construcction, Laing O Rourke, Morgan Sindall and Shepherd Construction.

Operationally and commercially responsible for the management of the supply and installation contracts undertaken directly by Leaderflush for Balfour Beatty Plc. on various healthcare PFI projects including QE Hospital Birmingham (BNHJV), Pinderfields and Pontefract General Hospitals (PPHJV) and the Northern Batch General Hospitals at Tameside and Hope (NBHJV).

Full responsibility for all the commercial activities undertaken by the company. Turnover was in excess of £8 Million.Carried out various Joinery Sub-Contract projects around the UK ranging from £20K to £3.5 Million, which consisted of student accommodation, Hospitals, Schools, Offices etc.

Senior QS commercially responsible for Hull Magistrates PFI contract value £21 Million. Assisted in preparing tender for Leeds Schools PFI project, value £50 Million.

Commenced as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ultimately promoted to Senior Quantity Surveyor. Commerically responsible for a number of projects on going at any one time. Projects ranged from £40,000 to £7 Million.Also involved in neogiation of outstanding final accounts and claims.

Typical PQS role, including taking off, bill preparation and cost analyses.Assigned to work on term Maintenance projects (painting, scaffolding, Civils works, cladding and mechanical works) at ICI Huddersfield and Ferrybridge Power Station, as well as assisting with the cost control reporting of shaft sinking works at various Selby Coal Mines.
