In 1995, transferred from the Board of County Commission as Growth Management Director to the Property Appraiser as GIS & Mapping Director to modernize & reorganize the Office's mapping program using GIS technologies (e.g. ArcInfo). With full implementation of digital mapping, was assigned as Office Special Programs Director.

Began service with the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners in 12/1973 as a Senior Planner, and moving through the ranks to Planning Section Supervisor, Assistant Planning & Zoning Director, to eventually as Director of Planning & Zoning. With promotion to Growth Management Director, managed the operations of six divisions: Comprehensive Planning, Zoning, Development Plans Regulation, Building Codes & Inspections, Housing & Community Development and Geographic Information & Research.

From 12/1965 to 6/1967, served with the 15th Air Force Reconnaissance Technical Squadron (March AFB), oversaw aerial photo interpretation & air target chart productions. Member of T-10 project team that created simulated ground tracking plates for B-52 flight/mission trainers providing simulated radar returns covering the North Vietnam theater of air operations. Participated in prepping & calibrating RF4C aircraft (Ton Son Nhut AFB) for Vietnam reconnaissance air operations. From 7/1967 to separation from the USAF, served with the 341st Missile Wing, Malmstrom AFB, Montana, as a combat Missile Launch Commander in the 10th Missile Squadron, receiving training at Vandenberg AFB, CA.
