I have worked in construction for over twenty years starting with Amec construction mostly doing concrete pours on wtworks new tanks and drainage ,started as skilled ops and worked my way up to ganger and foreman through the years ,MOD works for raf runways and pq concrete were a good learning curve for me old drainage systems tying in to new for two miles up runways .went onto work for Morgan est as they bought over amec in Scotland railway works followed with airport contracts , bridge construction ,sea defences ,power stations , water board contracts in highlands Inverness to Isle of Skye , then onto Mirgan sindall more railways Waverley station works reconstruction and platform additions , roof recovering concrete bases drainage works more airport works building stands . Having been made redundant in January from Morgan’s I’m currently a foreman at Barrhale back to water board a wtworks projects,freelance with James strang for few months site management finishing works for them , currently on hs2 with vinci construction as a foreman again . Started with kier civils construction as works manager , horse on for the team , doing works for Severn Trent water .
