Accountable for overseeing the operational delivery and support of the Department's extensive technology services in a manner that supports program and service delivery standards. The Department's technology services consists of multiple mission critical systems that support in excess of 5 million transactions annually with Nova Scotian citizens and businesses through a variety of channels including telephone, in person and online.Senior level leadership position for the Department with responsibility for ensuring the reliability, availability and ongoing development of the department's information systems to ensure end-users (e.g. SNSMR staff, staff from other Departments, citizens, business, public safety and other organizations such as law enforcement agencies) have reliable access and use of the Department's electronic infrastructure. Responsibilities also include the ongoing integration of new systems and capital improvements.Responsible for the provision of "end to end" service management of the Department's software application portfolio and electronic infrastructure in consultation with program/service delivery owners and external service providers. Ensure service levels are defined and provided in a consistent manner and reflect current business objectives. Responsible for working collaboratively with Departmental and Corporate management to achieve common goals and develop and lead a culture of continuous improvement in the delivery of information technology support services. Currently leading a team of 3 Managers, 40+ staff, ~5 - 15 contracted resources.
