About Gary Rogowski
Gary Rogowski began his woodworking education in 1974. It continues to this day. For 25 years, he ran Gary Rogowski Furniture Designs building commission furniture for private and public clients. He has been showing his work in galleries nationwide since 1976. His work was seen in the 1989 Oregon Biennial at the Portland Art Museum. In 1991 he was awarded the Oregon Arts Commission fellowship in Crafts. In 1997 he founded the Northwest Woodworking Studio, A School for Woodworkers. He was a contributing editor at Fine Woodworking magazine for fourteen years with dozens of articles and videos. His wrote The Complete Illustrated Guide to Joinery for Taunton Press. His latest book is Handmade: Creative Focus in the Age of Distraction. His current podcast Splinters offers a take on life at the bench. His new podcast coming in 2024 is called Creativity: Hustlers, Fakers, and Thieves
