About Gary Rubin

I conduct research on reading , mobility and face recognition in people with impaired vision. I am particularly interested in the problems encountered by patients who develop a blind spot in the centre of their visual field. I also work on the development and validation of new clinical vision tests used in a wide range of eye diseases including cataract, macular degeneration, and diseases of the optic nerve. I have published more than 150 scientific papers and 10 book chapters.
