Managing the Project Construction Control Centre on a 24/7 – 365 days Roster. Integration of all construction works. Chairing Daily, Nightly and Weekend Activity Briefings to identify any clashes of work between contractors.¬ Monitoring progress of all works throughout planned railway possessions to maintain timely completion and the safe return into service of the railway infrastructure.¬ Integrating works and safety control systems with Birmingham New Street Station Management Team.¬ Issue and Cancellation of Permits to Work, ensuring works have been declared and authorised on the Weekly Construction Planning Control System.¬ Principle contact for the reporting of accidents and incidents. Responsible for escalation of reports to Project management and Network Rail.¬ Monitoring / reporting on progress of construction works and identifying completed works against plan.¬ Carrying out of site inductions and delivery of staff update briefings.¬ Undertaking site tours to identify correct Safe Systems, Permits and Task Briefs are in place.¬ First point of contact for concerns / complaints from the public. Liaise with police, fire brigade, security, traffic agencies and contractors to ensure minimum disruption.¬ Updating and distribution of the Daily Project Control Log.
