To direct and control the underwriting activities of the intermediated business aligned directly to regional and rural NSW, contributing the achievement of planned growth and profitability targets by provision of technical expertise, direction, support and guidance to staff, management and intermediaries.To implement corporate underwriting strategies applicable to business underwritten through the DivisionTo ensure the Division achieves its planned underwriting targetsTo provide leadership for underwriting staff and ensure team members receive appropriate technical support, training and guidance.To monitor the performance of all classes of business, identifying trends and undertaking remedial action where necessary.To handle branch and intermediary referrals on a full range of acceptance, pricing and technical issues relating to business underwritten with the Division.To establish, monitor and ensure compliance with agreed customer service standards and company policies and procedures.To develop a strong market profile, whilst ensuring relationships with key intermediary connections are maintained.
