Schools and out of school hours sports coaching and successful online sports shop ownerIn 2004 i started my own business within the sports industry. The business started as a football coaching business and grew within the first year to incorporate school sports sessions and PPE cover sessions for teachers. I had 8 members of staff working around Worcestershire and Gloucestershire in schools and a successful Holiday Camp Scheme. The business made a profit every year for 14 years. In 2008 using my retail knowledge i launched my own online sports store to compliment the business. The store a profit in the first year and grew each year. Online marketing, ground marketing and sealing deals with good quality suppliers helped the business grow. In 2018 i sold the business completely and wanted to focus on getting myself back into the right retailer and with a company that could offer me a challenge and a place to grow in the retail sector again.

After relocating in 2002, i moved to JJB Sports as a new challenge for my personal growth in retail. Another large company and within a market that i was very interested in getting to know. Managed the store in the absence of the manager and managed the 27 members of staff at this large store. Key skills included, merchandising, paperwork, finance, stock profit and loss, warehouse management and audit. Also a main key holder and staff recruiter.

Reviewed daily financial records and reports including stock handling and takings issues. • Stock and Gain inventory.• Met and exceeded store targets consistently and a high level of performance for the store. • Conducted staff interviews with key personnel and worked alongside other area managers and directors to implement new ideas and any changes to the business structure and trends. • Within 12 months I was promoted to Area Co-ordinator and worked with other stores in the area to increase standards and deliver high sales and standards within those stores. • Won store of the year in 2001.

Small Independent Company Based in North London stocking High End Street and Surfwear.Oversaw a massive growth in business through the first year, reaching 250% over the first years target.I was involved with - Staff Recruitment, Target Goals, Customer Service and also helped set up a great marketing plan that helped the company grow from 1 store to 4 stores in just over 13 months.
