Mr. Humble was elected Judge for the Town of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, in August 2018. The part-time court has general sessions jurisdiction to include all state misdemeanor criminal offenses, town ordinance violations, preliminary hearings, and issuance of process, including search and arrest warrants.He is a retired Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) with 38 years of experience in both federal and state court, successfully handling hundreds of various criminal and civil cases. He has tried more than a hundred criminal jury cases. He has investigated and tried numerous complex fraud, political corruption, and many other kinds of criminal violations. Mr. Humble supervised the U.S. Attorney's Chattanooga Branch Office and white collar criminal prosecutions from 1997-2002. He was an evaluator for the U.S. Department of Justice Evaluation and Review Program (EARS) and an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee School of Law. Mr. Humble was previously an AUSA for the District of Columbia under Joe diGenova and a trial attorney for six years in the Justice Department's Antitrust Division. He tried four criminal antitrust cases and conducted civil merger investigations in various industries.Since 2011, he has had an active private, trying cases in both state and federal courts. He is the Temple attorney for Alhambra Shrine, assisting the Temple with bequests, wills and fundraising issues.Mr. Humble has had federal criminal jury trials in the Nashville and Memphis, as well as in the District of South Carolina (in both Columbia and Greenville) and the Western District of Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh). He was appointed a Special AUSA in several other federal districts.Mr. Humble has extensive federal appellate experience.
