March of the Living Australia is an organisation dedicated to Holocaust education and memorialisation, combating antisemitism and intolerance, promoting social justice and creating a powerful connection to Israel, our community and future generations through an inclusive and immersive educational experience of ‘going where history books can’t’.

Build a world class Jewish Community Centre in Sydney (@hakoahclub) with the following facilities:- Fitness & wellness centre for exercise, martial arts, yoga, pilates, meditation + more- 9 Maccabi Tennis courts- Undercover multi-purpose courts: basketball, netball, futsal etc.- Football field & grandstand- Aquatic centre including a 25 metre lap pool & undercover, learn-to-swim pool- Wellness professionals (e.g. physiotherapist, nutritionist etc.)- Restaurant and Cafe- 3 Level community hub and functions venue for a multitude of uses (arts, culture, lectures, simchas, music etc....)

The Jewish Arts Quarter (JAQ) will be a vibrant new home for Jewish culture in Melbourne. JAQ will bring together museums, theatre, learning, arts, food, festivals and more in an inclusive space that celebrates the rich diversity of Jewish life.My role is to engage with the Jewish community of Melbourne to help bring to life this once in a generation project. https://www.jaq.melbourne

Helped facilitate several Rites of Passage Camps for Fathers and Sons.

Gary Samowitz was the CEO of Stand Up (formerly Jewish Aid) which is an organisation focused on mobilising the Australian Jewish community to become active in pursuing social justice causes in the wider community. In the past few years Stand Up has:- raised over $1.5 million for emergency relief efforts ($450 000 for bushfires, $140 000 for the recent Australian Floods, etc...)- empowered newly arrived refugees from Darfur (Sudan) by coordinating a range of capacity building programs, including a homework club, mens group, womens group and employment program. - engaged with 3 Aboriginal communities (Toomelah + Boggabilla, and Cummeragunja) by taking 15 Jewish university students to run school holiday programs for the Aboriginal children every school holidays for the last 14 years.- facilitated social justice education workshops at all the major Jewish schools and youth movements in Melbourne & Sydney. Created a 6 month social impact leadership course for young adults. Stand Up has grown swiftly over the last few years. The organisation now employs 18 people, has over 70 volunteers a week, and opened an office in Sydney in 2012. Gary has also been responsible for all fundraising, and successfully hit the fundraising target every year for the last 10 years.
