I’m responsible for acquiring and analysing new and innovative third party data for use in our flood maps, models and data around the world.I previously led the development of JBA’s Flood Pricing Data in the US, UK, Canada and Australia as Product Owner. I also led the team developing JBA's latest probabilistic UK Flood Model as Scrum Master and Project Manager.I’ve been at JBA for eight years and have worked on projects across the re/insurance, property search and public sectors. Each client and project is different; I really enjoy working with our diverse range of clients, as well as my incredible colleagues at JBA, to better understand flood risk and its potential costs. Big Data manipulation and visualisation is key to this - I think most GIS Analysts will appreciate the (very geeky) satisfaction of getting a map design just right.Competencies: Project management, complex spatial analysis, data manipulation, data visualisation, data management, flood frequency and severity analysis, hydrology, SQL, PostGIS, QGIS, ArcGIS and a little bit of R.
