Operational Network ArchitectGary Schmid brings over 25 years of experience designing, developing and implementing technology solutions for the Power Industry. He has a strong technical background and proven management and leadership skills. Mr. Schmid is currently leading a companywide project to redesign and upgrade Central Hudson’s communications network used for power operations and essential for the company’s strategic plan. Formerly, he lead a team performing a similar role for the New York Power Authority; New York State’s electric utility. Mr. Schmid also has extensive experience managing large data, voice, wireless and videoconferencing systems, and through business and technical skills has reduced annual operating costs while improving service and reliability.Mr. Schmid holds an MBA from Pace University, a BS in Electrical Engineering from NJIT, and is also a licensed Professional Engineer in New York State. For the past 12 years he has been a professor at several colleges teaching evening technical classes in Microsoft and Cisco technologies. He has sat on several technology advisory panels, and spoken at technical conferences.
