Responsible for setting up a new division within Ubiquiti including building the engineering team, getting a new office setup in Chicago with requisite engineering tools/equipment as well as prototype manufacturing capability. Responsible for the overall architecture and design of numerous airFiber products.Designed and built the industry’s first cost effective 24GHz full-duplex Gigabit Pt-Pt radio platform. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFeiMlJKCHkAF24 (AF24HD) utilized a discrete ultra wideband ZIF with a proprietary calibration scheme in order to maintain performance across a wide range of operating conditions. The entire radio/modulator (encode and decode) proprietary calibration mechanisms and highly integrated feed and antenna were all developed by a very small team in a very short timeframe. Invented a unique high performance proprietary ultra low latency protocol initially applied to AF24. Protocol was modified for use in a wide array of AF devices. AF5 full duplex. radio platform which employed a basic interference cancellation technique for single frequency reuse on split antenna FDD. This platform utilized several new features including a unique choke structure that enhanced the isolation between adjacent antenna elementsAF5X low-cost bridge, which holds the world record for a longest distance link (5GHz) with multi-megabit throughputs. https://community.ui.com/stories/ICTP-and-CISAR-take-the-challenge-and-upgrade-with-AF5X-304km-356Mbps-Record/4f30cf2d-72aa-4e26-87f7-8ceff39f80ceAF11FX low-cost full duplex 11GHz Pt-Pt licensed bridge AF5XHD including the industry’s very first fully proprietary large scale integrated circuit chipset.https://www.rcrwireless.com/20121227/network-infrastructure/ubiquitiHolder of 25+ patents
