He expanded his role when he moved over to the Festival Mushroom Group, working both label and publishing sync opportunities. During this time, Gary negotiated numerous sync deals for artists large and small, including the Bob Marley catalogue, Marc Bolan, Nice Cave and Powderfinger.When Festival Music moved to Mushroom, Gary accepted the role as Director of Music Licensing. After Mushroom, Gary opened up an Art Gallery with his partner, still keeping a-foot-in-the-door of the music industry as a sync agent for Shock Music.Gary then moved into music supervision working for the established company, Music Mill. During this time, he helped set up the publishing arm of the company, Centrifuge Music. After numerous labels and publishers, Gary decided to set up his own music supervision company, seegerMUSIC; and co-manage a number of local and New Zealand artists. Since the birth of seegerMUSIC, Gary has worked on oodles of TV series and films including: The Sapphires, Rake, Jack Irish, Bob Hawke, Holding The Man, Wolf Creek 2, Please Like Me, Harrow, I Am Woman and many more…Gary now works at Trackdown studios as their in-house music supervisor and as of 2016, accepted the role as Creative Director for the global music publisher, peermusic, where he oversees all sync activities and A&R duties.
