My focus was on the continual improvement of design and the development of a process approach to design and quality management. We achieved some early successes with the development of the wastewater modelling team, CAD and P&ID services for United Utilities (UU), the expansion of asset management services for South East Water and multi-disciplinary services for Severn Trent Water. I’m proud of my ability to lead and develop Engineering teams. Coaching and training led to devolving management responsibility to lead projects and to sharing management data using MS Access and SharePoint. Integrating on and off shore teams lead to significant savings in the cost of employment.I also took on a leading role for Building Information Modelling (BIM) across Jacobs Infrastructure and integrated many of the BIM initiatives across the different business units as well as aligning activities to the UK Government’s BIM Level 2 strategy.
