.QA/QC Coordination of all heavy craft welding and fabrication activities within the refinery project and maintenance departments consisting of:• Formulation, qualification and compilation of welding procedure specifications.• Welder training and conducting welder performance qualifications.• Control and management of department QA/QC system.• Consumable and material control.• Approval and issue of isometric and as built fabrication drawings.• Magnetic particle and penetrant inspection.• Compilation of test packs and data dossiers.• Supervision of welding technicians and NDT personnel.• Coordination of post weld heat treatment activities.• Supervision and witnessing of hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of process piping.• Client inspection and approval of contractor inspection test plans, test packs and data dossiers.Achievements:• Instrumental in establishing and developing the current QA/QC system within the refinery maintenance heavy craft department.• Major contributor in the supervision of QA/QC contractor personnel on the safe and successful completion of several turnaround and inspection events on the refinery.• Attained multiple CSWIP and PCN qualifications.• Gained engineering technician status with Engineering Council UK

Milford Haven Refinery

Employed on the refinery in the project and maintenance heavy craft department, all disciplines covered in the repair of process piping, equipment, furnace heaters, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and storage tanks. Primary role was the specialist welding of low alloy, stainless and copper nickel alloys including Cromoly grades P11,P22,P5,and P9, stainless steel grades 310,316,304 and 321, monel 400 and inco alloys in both GTAW and SMAW processes to ASME IX and EN287 standard. Also assisted in a supervisory capacity during major events such as unit outages and turnaround and inspection periods
