As Director of Community-Wide Security, provide direction and oversight in developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes, practices, and policies, including emergency and disaster response plans, throughout the organization and 18 partner agencies. Serve as consultant to partner agencies and other organizations within the Metropolitan Detroit Jewish community for security needs and special events. Provide or facilitate security training and education to Federation and agency staff, community groups and law enforcement professionals. Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and security partners to include domestic security agencies, intelligence and private sector counterparts, Federation and partner agency management and staffs, volunteers and members of the Jewish community. Facilitate information-sharing within the Jewish community. Conduct vulnerability assessments and provide options to Jewish institutions to improve their overall security posture.Oversee and direct campus and school security programs and personnel.From December 2008 - August 2011, served as the Federation's Campus Security Manager on the Applebaum and Taubman Jewish Community Campuses.

The Michigan Infrastructure Coordinating Committee (MICC) is a cross-sector coordinating committee with representation from the public and private sector from each of the 18 CIKR Sectors defined in NIPP plus a Schools Sector. The MICC is intended to provide an effective partnership framework that fosters integrated, collaborative engagement and interaction among public- and private-sector partners. Partnership between the public and private sectors is essential, in part because the private sector owns and operates approximately 85 percent of the nation's critical infrastructure, the State Police have access to critical threat information, and each controls security programs, research and development, and other resources that may be more effective if discussed and shared, as appropriate, in a partnership setting.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office coordinates the Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council of Eastern Michigan, a group of law enforcement officials, emergency managers and private security professionals that meets quarterly to share information and coordinate training. We also train to be prepared to respond to any critical incident, including acts of terrorism, that may occur in our district.
