I am an instrument technician that has completed the OPITO apprenticeship scheme in Instrumentation & Control. I completed my apprenticeship at Sullom Voe Oil Terminal and I have been on the Magnus platform for the last 5 years before returning to SVT. Experience:• Performed preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as troubleshooting on all instrumentation systems on plant such as pressure, level, temperature and flow loops. These systems use operating principles ranging from Pneumatic to Foundation Fieldbus.• Carried out metering routines and maintenance on stabilised crude export metering and fiscal/environmental gas metering systems (Daniels metering MSC, Swinton MeterSuite, Spectra-Tek 500, Rosemount and Krohne Coriolis Meters, etc.)• Maintained gas analysers systems for H2S, moisture and gas composition. This included Novasulf HG 400, Ametek 933/3050, Hobre Hilase WaSul and Daniels Danalyzer 500 Chromatograph.• Carried out trip and logic checks on SIL rated loops throughout site.• Worked on various process valves including ESD, flow, level, pressure control valves and motor operated valves.• Working on fire and gas systems, including systems with executive action.• Worked on the Honeywell FSC, Experion and TDC3000 as well as the original ESD Robinsons Relay Logic.• Adjusted, uploaded and downloaded data from and to devices using hand held communicators as well as laptop interfaces (HART communicator, ProLink software for Coriolis meters, etc.)• Assisted vendors with servicing and calibrations (Analysers maintenance with Hobre and Prover calibration and recertification with Intertek)• Worked on various flow metering solutions including Orifice DP transmitters, turbine, ultrasonic, mass and electromagnetic meters.• Carried out routine maintenance and calibrations on oil export sampling system which included density measurement and oil in water measurement. (Jiskoot sampling system, Multi-fluid MFI)• I have used work associated software such as Field Device Manager, Experion DCS, FSC and Safety Manager, ENRAF entis and ensite, ISSOW, Proscient, KIMS, Documentum etc.• Worked to the highest health and safety standards in compliance with Sullom Voe and Magnus Platform Control of Work, as well as all related laws and legislations in the UK.• Taken part in EnQuest safety conversation systems.
