I served four years in the U.S. Navy. There I spent time in the safe handling of aircraft, operation of aircraft elevators, ballistic doors, and ensuring the overall safety and management of the hangar bay while standing watch in conflagration stations. From there I was assigned an addition duty of repair parts petty officer(RPPO). While RPPO, I was overall in charge of the finances along with receiving and storage of supplies for my division of over 250 personell. I also spent my last year in security where I received several qualifications such as apprentice level training skills, armed sentry and proper risk management. Upon honorably separating from the military I worked a few months as security, and decided to take up a career on the water once again. From that point forward I have worked on the Mississippi river transporting barges, working designated docks and ensuring safe and swift progress.
