CurrentPRINCIPAL ENGINEER, 2010 – Present LOTUS ENGINEERING Senior member of Lotus Engineering’s Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Integration Group. Appointed as principal engineer in 2010 after successfully delivering company’s objectives on multiple projects. Responsible for developing and implementing the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle High Voltage Safety Management System (HV SMS) within the Company’s Business Operating System. Lead Engineer on the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Zero Emission Taxi project for the London 2012 Olympics. Personally responsible for High Voltage battery, systems integration, vehicle commissioning, hydrogen fuel cell installation, system optimisation and commissioning of five Fuel Cell taxis. Co-developed and commissioned two electric vehicle demonstrators for PROTON. Core member of the consortium technical team that co-developed the prototype electric drivetrain of the Lotus Reevolution 414E and Nissan Infiniti Emerge-E vehicles.Currently involved in a high profile Governmnet funded (DECC) project named EVEREST.( Electric Vehicle Embedded Renewable Energy Storage & Transmission).Utilising Electric Vehicle High Voltage Batteries to store and discharge energy to Electric Vehicles and the National Grid..Selected Contributions: 1 Core technical member of the consortium team of Project EVEREST. Responsible for Prototype design of the 0.5MW Energy Storage Device and Infrastructure.2 Generated technical specification and financial justification towards the investment of over £500K in hybrid electric systems testing facilities.3 Responsible for type testing, calibration and verification of the Lotus 414E twin electric motor driveline. 4 Core technical support team for the Infiniti Emerg-E during high profile demonstration events.5 Core technical member of the proposal team for two key projects valued over £2M.6 Design and build the Lotus H&EV Test Cells and Battery Test Chambers.7 HV SMS Safety Officer and Trainer for Lotus Staff..
