Responsible for procurement (subcontracts, equipment, services) and estimating support associated with the design, supply, and installation of turnkey power boilers, chemical recovery boilers, circulating fluid bed boilers, gasifiers, evaporators, digesters, filters, and various retrofits in North America. Specific activities include vendor qualifications, inquiry, bid review, negotiation, final contract and contract administration on individual external orders through $12M. Interfaced directly with corporate legal to resolve final conditions of contract. Additional duties: 401k Plan Trustee Software Trainer Work Group Leader Lead Auditor Work Group Facilitator A partial listing of merit and open shop subcontract experience includes procurement of civil, structural steel, architectural, boiler erection, turnkey precipitators, boiler retrofit subcontractors, piping, electrical, instrumentation, refractory design/installation, insulation, and field erected tanks.ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Consistently obtained best value for products and services from outside vendors.Successfully interfaced with all internal and external customers in support of corporate goals.Lead company into selection and implementation of integrated corporate wide computerized accounting, purchasing, project management and estimating system (COINS).Significantly involved in work groups to establish policy and fine-tune the corporation resulting in ISO 9000 certification in 1994 on the first try.Instrumental in establishing national purchasing agreements and protocol agreements.Successfully changed corporation's 401K Plan and instilled confidence in the new system.Established procedure for bid solicitation and analysis via computer.Provided quality audit reports reducing third party audit durations.Functionally supervised up to 5 employees.Reported to Purchasing Managers Ben Jones and Alex Dick.
