Site 300, The Table Operator is responsible for performing, or supervising, all activities occurring on the Firing Table during and after experiment execution. This position requires knowledge of the experimental requirements in order to achieve the desired analytical goals. This position has a high degree of consequence and error. The Table Operator must be cognizant of all safety and security issues associated with the experiment. The Table Operator is the Point –of-contact (POC) for the fabrication of the shot stand and other experiment related support structures (e.g. mirror stands, candle stands, shrapnel shields ect.) The Table Operator ensures that support structures meet required structural and seismic criteria including load test. The Table Operator performs or supervises all H. E. Operations performed on the firing table during periods of high personnel involvement, the Table Operator enforces personnel limits and activities as needed to achieve crowd and noise control. Additional requirements include setup of the firing table per Pre-shot report including required diagnostics considerations. The Table Operator ensures proper Execution of applicable procedures and work controls. The Table Operator Coordinates with Radiographic operators, laser alignment operators. The Table Operator conducts Explosives handling and storage, post shot table –entry, shot recovery, post shot cleanup Heavy Equipment operations. The Table Operator takes technical direction from the Bunker Supervisor and reports any significant issues or developments.

Site 300. General/technical support of tasks related to accountability of controlled materials (including explosives and radioactive materials). Receive, process, store, transport, transfer, package and ship explosives and radioactive materials. Use non-destructive assay equipment to measure and evaluate nuclear material isotopes. Interact with scientists, engineers, facility operations personnel and technicians. Perform functions as an Explosives Handler, Radiation Worker and Hazmat employee in compliance with DOE, state and LLNL regulations. Currently hold Class “C” commercial drivers license with a Hazmat endorsement, DOE “Q” clearance, and am on the HRP Human Reliability Program).

responsible for handling, storage, and segregation of radioactive, mixed and hazardous waste in accordance with all state, local and federal laws. Perform daily B612 facility vehicle inspections and manage radioactive laundry shipments. Operate drum crusher and generate paperwork. Manage non-RCRA waste roll-off system and maintain regulatory compliance in the low level waste area. Serve as lead during waste-run pre-check to verify all waste before transferring from waste accumulation areas to the B612 facility. Oversee contract technician activities and other personnel during waste scanning, weighing, segregation and verification. Management lead at B693 facility (waste segregation, proper storage and maintaining regulatory compliance) and preparation of off-site waste shipments.

Supply and Distribution, receive material for special and stock orders, customer service, tagging DOE attractive and capital equipment, and supplying stock materials.

Supply and Distribution, order, coordinate, expedite and stage construction material in support of Plant Engineering. Work with pre-established blanket order system, directly interface with local suppliers, Procurement, Accounting and Receiving departments.

Served six months shipboard Master-at-Arms and three years on Anti-Terrorist Armed Reaction Team--handling and storage of explosive material in addition to assembly and disassembly of explosive materials (i.e., bombs, rockets and missiles).

Gate and yard security. Patrol various Bay Area businesses. This was a second job, overlapping the SM Strong Construction position.
