I work as part of an evolving Digital Team for Oxford University Press. Pay and Allowances Supervisor. I was a team leader in various roles from providing pay expertise and clerical support to arranging office movements and air flight status. I have worked in many demanding areas such as warships, naval bases and operational locations overseas including Afghanistan and Iraq. The Navy motto is ‘The Team Works’ and because of this I am a huge team player, ensuring the goal is met and to the best standard. Something I still use today in my work and home life. I have completed intense leadership courses and gained multiple different skills through my Naval career which have left me in a great position for civilian employment across various roles. Sport has also played a huge part of my life and I was lucky enough to be part of an advertising campaign for Strongbow cider travelling to Rio to play football whilst working in the Royal Navy.
