Managed maintenance department for paper mill with 3 paper machines.

Installed 2000 KVA substation that served the Pulp Mill and Power Plant areas of the mill. Work included new Motor Control Centers, PLCs, and High Voltage switchgear.Installed new control system on a 15 MW steam turbine from vintage to the latest technology.Upgraded the Pulp Mill and Power Plant distributed control system from Honeywell TDC 2000 to a new GUS platform.Managed the control and electrical portion of the mill Cluster Rule MACT I & II compliance.

Provide electrical supervision/engineering for six (6) electricians for a premium ceiling manufacturer.Installed new electrical switchgear, AC drives systems, and PLC based controls on various systems throughout the facility.Re-organized the electrical department to ensure safety and improve group moral.

Presently direct and coordinate all electrical design efforts for Randers Engineering.This includes cost estimating, construction/project management, power distribution, and process control design on the following projects.31 million dollar pigment manufacturing facility located; 5 million dollar ferric chloride manufacturing facility located; 7 million dollar pigment manufacturing facility located east; Provided design packages to allow the competitive bidding of all the above electrical work.

Developed and installed a new 20 MVA main power substation for the foundry.Developed, directed and implemented a programmable controller retrofit of a 25 year old Osborne molding line.Designed and installed medium voltage (7.2KV) and low voltage (480V) in plant distribution equipment including induction furnaces, emission systems and various and other large foundry equipment.Installed programmable controls on various pieces of foundry equipment. These included core machines, sand transport systems, emission control systems, sand mullers and robots.Developed major capital projects from preliminary design through start-up. This includes appropriation, cost estimating, specifications and project management.Responsible for all phases of PCB removal.Developed, specified, purchased, and installed ten-ton capacity scrap handling crane.

Provided technical support for plant maintenance personnel.Designed, installed, and maintained plant electrical distribution systems.Directed and managed various "in house" electrical projects (e.g. power factor correction, PLC retrofits, etc.).Provided design drafting, equipment specifications and installation specifications in support of major capital projects.

Worked in the Nuclear Engineering Department for Illinois Power Company (IPC) providing interface between the A/E and general contractor on IPCs first nuclear power plant. Also worked with the start-up and maintenance organizations reviewing and preparing facility startup procedures.Affected the redesign of the Clinton Power Station Cathodic Protection System.
