I have managed developments for the Humber Sea Terminal and Port Sutton Bridge, my construction experience has been complemented by projects relating to storage tank construction; import/export pipework, bunds, paving, membranes, piling, rail and road loading facilities. This included 18 months on an above ground pipeline carrying Sulphuric Acid between Immingham and Grimsby. I have also spent 2 years on a waste water project, in particular odour control at the newest Southern Water WWT Plant located at Peacehaven UK, a site constructed immediately next to a residential development area.I was part of the PMC team on the Yansab project for Sabic, where I spent time in the U&O contractors offices before mobilisation to Yanbu, KSA. I was responsible for implementing changes in the U&O contractors design office in order to ensure that the design and layout was acceptable to the third parties I was working with; Aramco, Yanpet, IBN Rushd, Marafiq, SAMREF, Sabtank, SAFRA and the Royal Commission. I was retained by the client to deal with warranty issues, and works not fully completed when the plant started up and spent 1 year resolving these issues. As Foster Wheeler were the PMC contractor and Fluor where the U&O contractor the position suffered from a perceived conflict of interest, however, I am pleased to say that at the end of the contract Sabic, Fluor and Foster Wheeler all offered me positions on new projects.I have recently been involved in de-bottlenecking a road tanker loading system, which has not operated correctly for 4 years, this involved stripping out existing metering, and control systems and installing new equipment and a packaged unit for combustion of vapour displaced by the road loading operation.
