CPF consists of 4 trains with associated gas process and gas injection compressors, produced water treatment, well water treatment, water injection, oil storage tanks, flares and common utilities. I oversee and manage the preparation of shutdowns including statutory inspections (3 & 10 year intervals) of vessels, heaters, exchangers etc (steam cleaning, bundle pulling & hydro test programmes), repair and re-coating of vessels, installation of tie-ins to implement Field Change Proposals (FCPs), gas process and injection compressors, gas turbines, PSV recertification campaigns and any SD dependent CM’s or PM’s. Management of contractors with numbers in the region of 400-500 on site during SD execution.Preparation of Technical Reports (Shutdown Close-out reports, Lesson Learned Reports etc), prepare and review procedures, review of work lists, work packs, risk assessments and Safe systems of work, materials management and requisitions. Co-ordinate activities, including working with the Operations Department to implement and maintain shutdown isolation strategy (LOTO), maintenance activities, Vendor scopes, de-isolation, pre-commissioning and re-commissioning of systems throughout shutdown life cycle. Modify and adapt the plan to any emergent scope changes to ensure the SD stays on track.Management of the planning and methods department personnel including Planning Engineers, Mechanical Maintenance/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineers, Mechanical Work pack Coordinators and Field Supervisors.Chair regular SD meetings as the main Interface between maintenance, planning, HSE, operations, construction, technical department, logistics, purchasing, contracts and engineering.
