  In his ongoing 21-year run as a litigation attorney here, Gary has handled countless cases, some of which involved hundreds of millions of dollars at stake. His responsibilities have included managing all phases of the litigation from the investigation, pleadings, and discovery through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes. When preparing to resolve an issue in court, he strategically consults with and advises his clients, retains expert witnesses, attends pre-trial conferences, and develops trial strategies based on the facts and evidence. Not only that, but he is also involved with conducting pre-trial depositions of experts and key witnesses, preparing demonstrative evidence to be used as trial exhibits, facilitating drafts, and arguing pre-trial motions such as those dealing with the admissibility of certain evidence at trial. Once he presents the cases in court, he gives opening and closing statements to the judge or jury, cross-examines witnesses, and crafts their version of the case through testimony and evidence. As a litigation attorney, Gary sometimes conducts post-trial interviews with the jury. Furthermore, he also drafts and argues discovery-related motions, including motions to compel the other side to respond to discovery requests if they have not done so within a specified time.Throughout his time at Masuda, he has represented clients from a multitude of industries, including printing, crystal-growing, heavy machinery, electronics, automotive, information technology, media advertisement, and food products, to name a few.
