Starting from school into the Glass Business of Smith and Smith in 1984 was with the benefit of hind sight a lucky break. I enjoyed the challenge of a product that continues to develop and change in the exciting and challenging world of construction. The first three years were fast and furious as the building industry grew rapidly during the 80's building boom and I was lucky enough to get opportunities to rise rapidly through the business.Once the share market crash of 1987 set in course the recession for the next 5 or so years, I decided it was time to try my hand at my own business and established Eurobrik in 1989. This was to be the hardest lessons I would learn in the world of business but I enjoyed 15 years of building a niche business in the sales and installation of glass blocks.In 2004 I had the opportunity to go back to the flat glass industry when National Glass was established and have been with this business through a series of merges to become part of the new Viridian Glass Partnership business.After leaving Viridian Glass in mid-2019 I was presented with my current opportunity to work with Landson Glass, a Western owned and run glass processor in China. My role being to connect our NZ specialist glass installation companies with lower cost product on big contracts whilst maintaining high quality and minimising risk.I enjoy the challenges of the Glass and Construction Industry and love working with people to build a business team that enjoys being respected and sought after.
