With many years of experience in computing, programming, databasing, data processing & International Standards, I am translating that experience into a successful business of my own in the form of Progress Music Academy. Progress is Birmingham's premier Independent music tuition venue since 2009.A new challenge is assisting in the development of Natal Drums after their acquisition in 2010 by Marshall Amplification. After assisting with the transition and set-up of the company, my primary role now is looking after the export side of the business along with being Project Manager when bringing new products to the worldwide market. Both Natal and Marshall are supporting Progress Music Academy.Since 2014, Progress Music Academy is the exclusive Birmingham venue for Trinity Rock and Pop Exams.I was also part of the team who staged the Drumfest and Guitarfest shows annually across the UK. Collectively, the Drumfest was the largest show of its kind anywhere in the world and was voted 'readers best event' four years running by the UK's premier drumming magazine, RhythmIn 2009 as part of the Drumfest, I was proud to be part of the team who presented 'Stick it to MS', where 585 dummers broke the world record for playing in unison at Birmingham NIA. The event was in aid of the MS Society and subsequently won the MS fund raiser of the year award after gaining local and national TV and media coverage. We subsequently broke our own world record in Manchester, 2012 with over 800 drummers and raising over £150k for the MS Society.Since 2023, I took up the role of Local Area Rep for Birmingham for Trinity College London. I am responsible for administering and facilitating the Rock & Pop suite of Exams across Birmingham, hosting the exam sessions Progress Music Academy and growing the Rock & Pop Exam products.A new additional to the Progress Music Academy group, Soundworks Birmingham Ltd, will be a specialist Music Production site, specialising as a Recording Studio and Music Production tuition and training site in central Birmingham, due to launch early 2025.
