The Indiana Golf Foundation (IGF) is one of five nonprofit golf organizations under the headquarters of Indiana Golf. The focus of IGF is on junior golf related programs including the First Tee-Indiana, which is a national youth development organization. Overall, our goal is to be the vital hub for golf in Indiana, promoting and growing the game.As Board members we provide operational and financial oversight, fundraising support, and tournament organization.

Enterprise Risk and Compliance Committee ChairAside from Committee assignments, monthly meetings have been established with the First Financial CISO to gain a deeper understanding of program risks, strategies, and initiatives. Quarterly Cybersecurity updates are provided on current cyber events that Board members and Executive Management use to raise their awareness and understanding of the evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Using my 20 years of experience as a 5x CISO to advise and mentor Gartner CISO clients in enhancing their security organizations and programs through: the development of security strategies, benchmarking current environment, establishing priorities, planning for key security initiatives, and creation of communication material for executive and Board presentations. The overall objective is to help Gartner CISO clients achieve their security and risk management goals more quickly, more cost effectively, and with a higher assurance of success.

• Recruited to Fifth Third Bank to provide the Executive team and the Board an experienced perspective on the current state of their Information Security program. This included the development of a three-year strategic plan and roadmap based on a detailed program maturity assessment.• Delivered three-year maturity roadmap in 18 months. Enhanced end-point protection, application security, insider threat, attack surface management, ethical hacking, and cyber threat intelligence programs. Received CEO support for the development of a state-of-the-art Cyber Fusion Center, which will open November 2018.• Developed KRI’s and KPI’s across the Information Security organization that provided evidence of effective Cyber threat management, and information risk reduction across the enterprise.• Worked closely with the Financial Services Roundtable (FSR) / BITS in the development of a Financial Cyber Profile framework that provides a path towards regulatory harmonization. At the request of FSR, participated in meetings with Regulators, Congress, and Treasury to gain momentum in acceptance of the Cyber Profile as a harmonized regulatory framework.

Provided curriculum guidance to university professors, updates on significant trends within the cybersecurity ecosystem, and supported students through presentations, mock interviewing, and career opportunities.

• Chief Information Security Officer for an organization of 300+ professionals with an annual program budget of $70 million.• Led security organization through a significant technology transformation that involved an enterprise portfolio of applications, infrastructure, and security platforms.• Built strong working relationships with the 1’st, 2’nd, and 3’rd lines of defense to transparently report, and effectively manage cyber risk, while under considerable regulatory oversight.• Established regular Cyber reporting cadence for the BoD, Risk Committee, and Executive team.

• Hired as a Trusted CISO Advisor to support Target's PCI Forensics Investigation (PFI) breach investigation and response.• Developed a strategic information security / risk management roadmap that addressed the data breach as well as supporting future program initiatives, and business imperatives. • Provided the Executive team and the Board perspectives on contributing factors leading to the Target breach and changes necessary to support program enhancements.

• Chief Information Security Officer (including IT Risk Management, Cyber Security, Enterprise Security Architecture and Business Continuity) organization of 400+ professionals with an annual program budget of $97 million in FY13.• Organizational accountability to develop programs designed to protect over 2 billion unique personal account information records and over $6 trillion in annual global payment card transactions.• Quickly established strong, strategic and credible relationships across the Global Visa Executive team in order to obtain $112 million for the execution of an aggressive 3-year Information Security Program plan.

• Lead a global IT risk management team of 30 colleagues along with a budget of $9m to drive risk mitigating initiatives across information security, IT compliance and privacy, business continuity, and records-discovery services.• Developed an Information Protection Model comprised of six global IT risk management programs that were deployed to protect Aon’s most critical information assets.

• Member of Aon IT management team that participated in the evaluation and ultimate selection of CSC as an infrastructure outsource partner. Co-led a team 20 CSC & Aon architects responsible for the technical solution that supported an 18 month technical migration program. • Consolidated organizational responsibilities associated with architecture and support for middleware services which resulted in $2m in direct cost savings in 2004.

• Managed $8m investment over 2 yrs to digitize quality processes that drive key Q metrics. Reduced Readiness to Serve (RTS) costs by 50% ($750k) for all existing Quality apps. Captured $1m / yr in direct productivity savings through digitization results.

• Created the first centralized Global Information Security team within Aircraft Engines. Represented GEAE at the annual Corporate Information Management Controllership Reviews.

• As GE’s eBusiness initiative was launched across Aircraft Engines the CTO was responsible for the software architecture, infrastructure, and operational support needed to enable new eBusiness portals (Customer, Supply Chain, Productivity, and Aircraft Collaboration).
