A retired Senior Police Officer, with Police Service of Northern Ireland, Gary White is regarded as one of the most experienced conflict management practitioners in Europe. In addition to commanding many of the most challenging and serious incidents of disorder in Northern Ireland, his expertise has helped to inform UK National policy development. He has been engaged by the British Government to provide assistance to a number of International police services; including Bolivia and Venezuela. He has extensive personal experience of engaging hard-to-reach groups as a strategic priority of event/incident management. Gary was the first PSNI officer to graduate from the An Garda Siochanna Executive Leadership Course.Having served in senior police management roles since the signing of the Northern Ireland peace agreement, Gary has an in depth understanding of the organisational and cultural challenges involved in police and security sector reform. He was the author of the PSNIs Policing with the Community Policy and Implementation Plan. He has worked on SSR issues throughout Europe- Africa- South America - Middle East - Central Asia - South East Asia
