Specifically examined regulatory barriers in the automotive, meat, and pharmaceuticals industries in the United States, the European Union, Japan, and India.This required managing and analyzing large amounts of information related to international trade, developing deep knowledge of American trade legislation and administrative regulations as well as trade politics in some of America’s key trading partners in the WTO and OECD, and required communicating research findings concisely via written and verbal means. Authored an article published in the Journal of World Trade on how regulations became central to international trade negotiations.Authored an article published in The World Economy on U.S. political parties and the making of American trade policy.Contributed a chapter on protectionism to an edited volume on international trade politics. Wrote 3 other articles on international relations that were also published in peer-reviewed journals.Wrote 9 grant proposals that collectively won $32,100 in external funding. Presented research at 19 academic conferences.-Teacher Taught a course on Global Trade Politics to 16 undergraduate juniors and seniors.Assisted professors in teaching courses on energy politics, international political economy, U.S.-Iran relations, and international relations.-Research Assistant Collaborated with professors to complete research projects ranging from a quantitative analysis of authoritarian regimes’ economic policies to an examination of environmental regulations.
