To design and run a feeder operation for the Omani Government from zero, achieving break even within 12months of launch expected to achieve $1.2m profit for 2013 against two large contracts signed Q4 2012 from two major shipping lines.• Establishing a team from zero to complement the start of OCL consisting of highly experienced operations staff and recent Omani Graduates and developed a training program for all inexperienced staff in line with Omanisation, resulting in the first container ops/sales team in Oman.•Have developed strong working relationships with regional and global procurement and network teams, as a result securing ALL of Maesrk Lines and MSC business totalling 155,000 TEU per annum to be carried on OCL vessels within our trade routes.•Total accountability for the operational performances of all Oman Container Lines vessels.•Accountable for the performance and contract negotiation of all agency and terminal agreements. •Daily interaction and exposure to a multitude of stakeholders, including agencies, terminals and other OSC departments and board members.•Responsible for weekly / monthly commercial reporting and overall P&L / KPI’s.•To lead the sales team and guide where needed to achieve maximum revenue opportunities, devising incentive schemes to push staff to achieve their goals. •Accountable for improving the performance of each service through in depth analysis and creating and driving improvement projects.

· Overall responsibility for ensuring sea-worthiness of Vessels.· Develop and maintain superior operating results through effective planning, cost control and cargo management.· Scheduling of vessels, arranging Port operations and ensuring instructions given performed correctly.· Producing required Operational and Financial reports· Monitor Port Operations and anticipate and react to abnormal occurrences· Ensure Vessel Safety and Maximise Container Capacity with effective stability management· Review of bulk cargo applications, evaluate impact on cargo operations and revenue and liaise with Management when evaluating vessels capacity.· Schedule and order Bunker deliveries· Advise partner lines of allocation on a port by port basis· Liaising with Terminals updating contracts and negotiating new ones· Liaising with technical companies such as Cargo tec to discuss vessel builds and technical data
